Choosing a local company
We do not rank contractors, run a directory, or take a referral fee — so this is not a list of who to call. It is what to check before you do.
- Licence or registration number. Requirements are set by state and a few are strict; the number should be given without hesitation and is usually verifiable online.
- Whether the trip charge is credited against the repair when you go ahead. Ask — it is rarely volunteered.
- One spring or both. The most common source of a quote that looks cheap and is not.
- Labour warranty in writing. Parts warranties are broadly similar between companies. Labour warranties are not.
